During second period a new type of students wandered through the halls of CHS.
Only these students were about three feet tall and reminded me vaguely of a time when recess still existed. The first graders of Cottonwood Creek Elementary visited CHS classes so that high school students could assist them in writing letters to Santa.
The seven year olds looked terrified as they stared up at the high school students. But nonetheless, they became adjusted and happily chattered away about their Christmas plans. The trip was successful; the first graders wrote letters to Santa and had smiles on their faces.
