For most students, Fridays mean staying out late and sleeping in on Saturday morning. However, for many students at CHS, this Friday they must get a good night sleep and wake up early the next morning for the ACT.
At 8 a.m. this Saturday, pencils will be frantically writing and students will be clicking away on their calculators, trying to get the best score possible on the test. Since many colleges require an ACT and/or SAT score and they largely contribute to student’s acceptance into college, much pressure is put on students to succeed on this test.
Many students have been studying for months using a variety of methods, including Karen Dillard’s and an assortment of ACT study books. Although sign up is closed, standby testing is always an option and the next ACT will not be until December 10.
