College night helps students see their different options

By Caroline Carter

Staff Writer

Last night, Thursday September 15, over 175 colleges from across the country came to CHS to give prospective students a chance to see what all the different colleges are about. For me, it gave me a chance to look at different universities that I had never really considered.

It might because many friends and family members attended a college in Texas, but I had always assumed that I would end up at an in-state school. But with the many colleges from states other than Texas, I soon saw that there are some colleges that may be a better fit for me.

Other students including sophomore Lauren Cullison felt that College Night really helped her see the different options out there.

“I got to look at a lot of different colleges that are out of state,” said Lauren Cullison, “I think that Samford University or Syracuse are good places for me because both have good lacrosse program.”

College Night was very successful for the students of CHS and helped them have a greater understanding of the different schools in the country.
