Drought requires water restrictions

By Jay Carroll
Staff Writer

As temperatures continue to reach 100 degrees, with little to no rain. Coppell Residents have been asked to conserve water.

Residents can no longer water their lawns between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The city has also asked residents to not over water their lawns. If residents continue to over use water then the city will have to purchase extra water which would increase the water rates for all of the citizens.

The city has placed signs around the city. The signs urge residents to fix water leaks, and avoid excessive run off. The signs also mention much more about the current water restrictions.

There is a little relief insight for next week when temperatures will finally get below 100 with lows in the 70’s.
