Many see the importance of the month of Ramadan as more than just refraining from eating or drinking – it’s a time that affects lives beyond food. Listen as The Sidekick staff writers Yusra Khan and Ayaan Salaar talk to Valley Ranch Islamic Center girls youth lead Husna Khan and Coppell High School Muslim Student Association senior co-president Mohammed Saleh about how the month of Ramadan affects the Muslim community.

After trying out journalism as a freshman, Yusra discovered a new outlet for her love of advocacy and speech through newspaper.
