Coppell ISD has decided to close all administration buildings and campuses again on Thursday due to road conditions, especially in residential areas, remaining treacherous due to last weekend’s winter storms. CISD was closed Monday through Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, Dallas-Fort Worth will experience a chance of snow showers and freezing rain, with wind chill values between -1 and 7 on Sunday. Remaining precipitation will refreeze, leading to hazardous conditions.
CISD is seeking approval from the state to excuse the weather-related closures. If approved, Bad Weather Days will be unused. The district will inform families and staff throughout the process.
