As the 2024-25 school year comes to an end, so does the chapter of Dr. Brad Hunt serving as Coppell ISD’s superintendent. In this episode of On The Record, Coppell High School seniors and KCBY-TV executive producer Sydney Beach and Hunt’s social media manager Salman Khan share their stories about the popular administrator.

Wendy Le, Executive Social Media Editor
Wendy Le is in her third year in The Sidekick as a senior and the executive social media editor. Throughout her time in this program, she’s found joy in doing things and going to places she never thought she would’ve: standing on the sidelines, in the back of the Black Box Theatre, political rallies, learning how to use Adobe, taking photos, making social media graphics and writing features.  Le does have hobbies outside of D115. When she’s not scouring to get things edited or feeding The Sidekick social media accounts, she likes to brain rot on TikTok, craft new Pinterest boards, go thrifting and take photos on her digital camera. Jay Vernekar
Jay Vernekar, Staff Writer
Jay Vernekar is a sophomore and first year staff writer of The Sidekick. He has a passion for writing but is also looking forward to exploring all the learning opportunities The Sidekick has to offer. He is eager to work hard to provide polished products for all that enjoy content from The Sidekick. He enjoys time with family and friends, cherishing all the positive connections he makes. He loves true crime/murder mystery novels! His favorite podcast is “Rotten Mango” by Stephanie Soo, and a recent book he loves is “The Paris Apartment” by Lucy Foley.  You can contact Jay at [email protected].  
Sabah Uddin
Sabah Uddin, Communications Manager
Sabah Uddin is a senior and the communications manager for The Sidekick. Her favorite part of being a student journalist is being able to cover events and meet people she never would’ve known before. Through The Sidekick she has gotten to step out of her comfort zone in discovering sports photography and feature writing. When she’s not covering an event for The Sidekick or competing with the Coppell High School DECA chapter, you can find her exploring new restaurants and cafes.
