From costume fittings to line run-throughs, CHS9 Theatre I Accelerated students bring the Wild West to life as they prepare their One-Act Play production of “The Wild Bunch Women,” a retelling of Pearl Hart’s days as an outlaw. But beyond the saloon doors and stage lights, the true story unfolded in the weeks of hard work behind the scenes. Watch as The Sidekick executive social media editor Wendy Le and staff writer Neha Nathwani explore the creative process, from rehearsals to set design.

About the Contributors

Neha Nathwani, Staff Writer
Neha Nathwani is currently a senior and second year staff writer in The Sidekick.
The way people communicate is a narrative that inspired her, compelling her to join The Sidekick and the Speech and Debate team. She loves to learn people’s stories and emotions, and communicate them through media.
Outside of school she enjoys listening to music. Her top three artists are Tyler, the Creator, Frank Ocean and Lana Del Rey. She collects vinyls and watches her favorite movies, Before Sunrise and La La Land whenever she needs a boost of enjoyment. In her spare time she enjoys reading tarot cards, taking pictures of sunsets with her friends and learning about astrology.

Wendy Le, Executive Social Media Editor
Wendy Le is in her third year in The Sidekick as a senior and the executive social media editor.
Throughout her time in this program, she’s found joy in doing things and going to places she never thought she would’ve: standing on the sidelines, in the back of the Black Box Theatre, political rallies, learning how to use Adobe, taking photos, making social media graphics and writing features.
Le does have hobbies outside of D115. When she’s not scouring to get things edited or feeding The Sidekick social media accounts, she likes to brain rot on TikTok, craft new Pinterest boards, go thrifting and take photos on her digital camera. If you see her in person, she is likely to “meow” at you (unironically).
You can contact her at ahl2566@g.coppellisd.com for any inquiries.
