The Coppell volleyball team competes in its homecoming match against Denton Braswell at CHS Arena at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
After a third consecutive victory in District 5-6A play against Lewisville on Tuesday, the team prepares to face Braswell. Although their schedule prevents them from strategizing against a specific opponent, the Cowgirls have worked on improving serve receive and defense.
“We want Braswell to get out of their offense while we remain in ours,” Coppell coach Robyn Ross said.
In their match against Little Elm, Coppell’s defense proved to be a key factor in the Cowgirl’s success, having several digs pick the game back up.
With a three-match district winning streak, morale is high entering the match.
“One of the greatest strengths the girls have shown is that they never give up,” Ross said. “These past few matches they have had some great comebacks.”
