You may have seen the pillars of the halls decorated with big red bows, or the flyers that read “Close the door on drugs”, the giant red banner across the senior bridge as well as students dressed up as their favorite heroes.
This is because today, Monday, Oct. 25, marks the first day of CHS’s annual Red Ribbon Week, a week dedicated to raising awareness against drugs. It is a celebration hosted by our SADD club (Students Against Destructive Decisions), observed by both students and staff.
To join in with peers on Red Ribbon Week, follow the schedule to dress-up according to each day as follows:
Monday students dressed up as heroes to encourage the theme “the life you save could be yours.”
Tuesday’s theme is “we’re too smart to do drugs”- dress up as a nerd.
On Wednesday, “think twice about doing drugs” and dress up with a twin.
On Thursday, “join the winning team; don’t let drugs ruin your future” by sporting your favorite jersey.
“Cowboy up and red out drugs” on Friday by wearing red.
