Society now days are bombarded with images of perfect, airbrushed celebrities gracing the covers of magazines, of models that look picture perfect. People do everything they can to look like the famous faces that they see everyday, the ever-growing trillion dollar industry of make-up, plastic surgery, etc. is the way that some reach that goal of being perfect. In Colleyville Heritage High school, students Samantha Gibbs, Lauren Gilby, Nina Smith, Emily Gates, Laura Kelly, and Caroline Tessler founded Redefining Beautiful, a group celebrating natural beauty and self-confidence. The club was founded at the beginning of the school year, inspired by the positive website OperationBeautiful.com. The club celebrates going make-up free every Tuesday. What are your thoughts and opinions on going make-up free? Do you think CHS should have a make-up free club like this?
