UPDATE: An 12:15 p.m. update posted by the Coppell Police Department said, “Ananya had been found safe. We appreciate everyone’s help and concern in locating her.”
On Monday evening, Coppell High School junior Ananya Kella was reported missing by her family.
According to Coppell ISD, Kella was last seen wearing green pants and a black hoodie, and never got on her bus after school. She was seen walking away from CHS at 5:15 p.m.
CISD, Coppell Police Department and Irving Police Department are working together to locate Kella.
An update posted today at 8 a.m. by the Coppell Police Department said, “Ananya is still missing. There is no reason to suspect foul play at this time; however, we are still actively searching for her.”
An 8:45 a.m update posted by the Coppell Police Department said, “Ananya is still missing. Officers have located Ring video footage of her walking on Black Oak Circle at 5:28 p.m. on 9/25/2023. CPD is asking for residents in and around that area to check their video cameras to see where she may have walked to.”
At 9:30 a.m, the Coppell Police Department said, “Ananya is still missing. Officers have located video footage of her walking NB at 700 N. Denton Tap on 9/25/23 at 5:50 p.m. We still ask that anyone in those areas keep an eye out and check their security video footage.”
