Got You Covered is a series from The Sidekick detailing events involving Coppell High School and Coppell ISD happening this week. It will be posted every Monday for the remainder of the 2023-24 school year.
  • On Tuesday, Coppell City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. in the council chambers at Town Center.
  • On Wednesday, Coppell Middle Schools hold Curriculum Night from 6-7:30 p.m.
  • On Thursday, Coppell High School hosts a college, career and military fair from 6-8 p.m. 
  • CHS Cheer Bingo is on Friday from 6-9 p.m. in the Large Commons. 
  • CHS hosts senior parking painting day on Friday after Cheer Bingo and all day Saturday.

Pinkerton Elementary School fifth grade students Caroline McAdams, A’meiree Cleveland and Penelope Toledo work with Coppell High School juniors Hemi Riojas and Aditi Rathod on their exhibition on April 8. The exhibition is an annual project tackling global issues that students work towards during their time at Pinkerton.

Sahasra Chakilam is a senior and the executive news editor of The Sidekick. She joined The Sidekick after watching “Gilmore Girls” and being inspired by Rory Gilmore’s work ethic and passion for journalism. Through the program, she has been able to develop a love for storytelling and connect with her community on a deeper level through reporting.  Outside of The Sidekick, she enjoys consuming all sorts of media. Her favorite music genres are R&B and indie pop, she has rewatched Crazy Rich Asians and How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days maybe 15 times and cannot ever pass on a 2000s teen drama.

Avani Munji is a senior and the executive design editor for The Sidekick. Munji joined the program unintentionally, but found that The Sidekick was the perfect place for her to grow as a designer. When she’s not creating a design or trying to learn everything there is to know about Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, you can find her playing various videogames on her Xbox and mourning the loss of her 2008 Wii.
