Schedule changes

It’s that time of year.

As the weather cools down and academics at CHS kick into high gear, alarming thoughts run through the heads of many CHS students:

“Whoa, this way tougher than I thought it’d be!” “This course is too overwhelming!” “I don’t know if I can handle this crazy hard class!”

Yes, it’s once again the time for schedule changes. Just when the counselors were getting situated from the crazy beginning of the school year, students flood into their offices, begging to get out of an AP, Pre-AP, IB, or GT course.

If you’re one of those students, pick up a Level Change Request form at student services or the freshman office as soon as possible. You need to fill it out, get approval from the teacher whose class you want to drop, and get it turned in by 4:00 PM on Friday, October 1st.

Have more questions about dropping a class? Shoot your counselor an email or talk to them in Student Services. Remember, you only have until Friday to get turn in the form, so act fast.
