Tomorrow, May 8th, will be the last trip to the Austin Street shelter for the school year.
The Austin Street Youth club was founded by senior Kara McFarlane at the beginning of her junior year. As McFarlane will be graduating and leaving Coppell, junior Michelle Crater will be in charge of the event and next year’s club.
If you are interested in helping out, you can go to Crater’s house at 5 p.m. tonight to help make the food that will be distributed at the shelter. If you are not able to come tonight, or you do not want to come, but you want to go to the shelter, students will be meeting in the CHS parking lot at 4 a.m. The group will be back to the high school at about 7 a.m.
As a special celebration for the last trip of the school year, everyone who attends is invited Crater’s house after for breakfast.
If you want more information, contact Michelle Crater or go to the facebook group.
