The Coppell softball team is hosting this year’s Coppell & Marcus tournament at the Coppell ISD Softball Complex, which will bring an end to its preseason. The tournament starts tomorrow and leads into Friday and Saturday.

Coppell plays Waxahachie on tomorrow at 3 p.m., Aledo on Friday at 3 p.m., Ennis on Saturday at 11 a.m. and Cedar Hill on Saturday at 3 p.m.

“I feel like we’re going to be really good this week,” Coppell senior left fielder Chloe Barker said. “We’re all really good together and work really well together, so I feel good about this tournament.”

This will be the third tournament for the Cowgirls preseason. They enter this tournament 7-5 and look forward to building on their teamwork and chemistry as they enter the District 6-6A season.

“We also had two other past tournaments so we’ve been working on things we’ve been getting wrong and practicing a lot,” Barker said.
