Coppell sophomore guard Ryan Agarwal puts a piece of net in his mouth to celebrate the Cowboy’s District 6-6A title. The Cowboys open the Class 6A playoffs against Eaton at Euless Trinity High School tomorrow at 7 p.m.

While the Cowboys claiming their second consecutive District 6-6A title, they will soon have a new challenge to face: the Class 6A Region I playoffs.

Tomorrow at 7 p.m., Coppell (12-2) go head-to-head against Eaton (7-7) at Euless Trinity High School in the bi-district playoffs.

It will take the Cowboys seven wins to claim a state title.

However, the added pressure has motivated some players to push their hardest, including senior guard Brandon Taylor, who will be playing his fifth playoff game tomorrow.

“With teams like Eaton that we are about to go up against, you got to get in them early and run up the scoreboard and shut them out,” Taylor said. “By the time second half rolls around, it falls over and that will be the W.”

Eaton finished fourth in the 5-6A District standings.
