The Coppell swim team travels to the Carroll Natatorium in Southlake tomorrow to participate in the Dragon Hunt Invitational meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Dragon Hunt Invitational meet is Coppell swim team’s third preseason meet. The team has been participating in preseason invitationals, such as the Dragon Hunt, to give its swimmers the opportunity to hone their skills before the important meets, such as the TISCA Swimming Invitational in Lewisville on Nov. 15-16 and the 6-6A district championship in Southlake on Jan. 17-18.

The Dragon Hunt Invitational stands out as one of the teams major preseason invitational competitions, seeing the likes of teams from all over the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

“There are quite a few teams that go to this meet, the biggest one being [Carroll],” Coppell senior captain Ben Borchgardt said. ”We might also see big teams like Marcus, Lewisville and J.J. Pearce compete, so it’s going to be a competitive environment for sure.”

Last year’s Dragon Hunt Invitational saw a great performance from the Coppell swim team, as it bagged several wins along with many top three finishes and new personal records.
