Today is Tax Day for millions of Americans, and Republicans are ready.
Armed with a year’s worth of statistics and grievances, they–and thousands of supporters, many of them Tea Party activists–will gather today on the National Mall to castigate the ‘tax-and-spend’ attitude in Washington.
The objects of Republican opposition should be familiar: skyrocketing deficits, creaking entitlements, and new taxes (a portion of the Bush tax cuts are set to expire soon) will all be given a sound drubbing during the event.
