Let’s face it: Coppell is in no short supply of Mexican restaurants. Aside from Taco Bell, Coppell has been graced with the ethnic presence of 7 Salsa’s, Anamia’s, Ole’s and later this month, Rosa’s Café will be added to that list.
“We decided to open a Rosa’s in Coppell because we are moving from our Fort Worth locations around to the northern side of Dallas and are just opening restaurants as we go,” Rosa’s broker Gerald Borron said. “We have several more coming in the Metroplex area that we just haven’t announced yet.”
Unlike the three other Mexican restaurants in Coppell, Rosa’s prides itself on authenticity and its ability to deliver their food within three minutes. Aside from the fact that Rosa’s is also a tortilla factory and produces daily fresh tortillas, it also has a drive-thru window to go along with its indoor dining area.
Upon entering Rosa’s, the customer must order their food and take a seat. The process works much like Dickey’s Barbeque Pit or Jason’s Deli, except

with its three minute time limit, your food arrives quickly. Not only that, but everything is fresh off the grill.
“Rosa’s had really delicious Mexican food, especially their fresh tortillas,” said senior Michael Tapscott, who visited the Odessa location of Rosa’s. “It was a sit down restaurant, but it was also pretty cheap and really quick.”
Rosa’s not only offers fast delivery, but good prices as the menu offers three tacos, rice, tortillas and beans for $4.99. Along with Mexican food, it also has carrot cake and freshly made sopapillas.
“I think Rosa’s will be popular in Coppell,” said senior Erin Barlow, who visited the College Station location of Rosa’s. “While it is Mexican food, it adds variety to Coppell because its format is somewhere between Taco Bell and Mexican restaurants. I’m looking forward to it opening.”
Other than the newest Coppell location, Rosa’s has 27 locations across Texas, including towns such as Lubbock, Waco, College Station, Amarillo and Abilene.
“Our restaurants are all successful so far in this Metroplex,” Borron said. “That’s our continued hope for our Coppell location.”
