Song of the Week: “Sucker”- Jonas Brothers

“I’m a sucker for you,” Nick Jonas croons in his signature falsetto in the new Jonas Brothers song, “Sucker”, released March 1.

The song follows the band’s six-year break, and has been highly anticipated since the trio teased it on Feb. 28. The music video, featuring Nick, Joe and Kevin’s significant others (Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner and Danielle Deleasa) quickly reached 4.5 million views within the day of release, and the song jumped straight to the top of the iTunes chart.

The song is a nice, wholesome break from this generation’s songs that usually contain sexual undertones and simply focus on being in love. It is catchy and gives the Jonas Brothers a new, modern sound while still keeping them true to their unique voices. I enjoy the song thoroughly, and my only complaint is it sounds similar to the song “Feel It Still” by Portugal. The Man.
