Tuesday March 23, Coppell boys soccer team had their first playoff game against Keller Central. Although the cowboys already beat Keller Central earlier in the year 1-0, the team has changed a lot since then. With the new and improved team, the cowboys beat Keller Central 4-0.
Advancing past first round, Coppell’s next opponent is the nation’s and state’s number one team Jesuit on Friday at Hebron High School at 8 p.m.
Jesuit has had an unbelievable season with no losses and only allowing all their opponents to score three goals on them. The score between Coppell and Jesuit at their last meeting was Jesuit 4-0.
Ever since second half of district, the Cowboys have greatly improved. In the past five games, the team has scored a total of 15 goals and only allowing their oppenents two goals.
The team is confident and with their last meeting very early in the year, anything can happen.
