Beginning today, Monday, Feb. 15th, and continuing till Wednesday, Coppell eighth graders from all three middle schools will be visiting both high schools in order to aid decisionmaking for their upcoming school year.
Beginning with Coppell Middle School West eighth graders on the first day, followed by CMS North on Tuesday and CMS East on Wednesday, the students will arrive at Coppell High School in the morning and later leave for New Tech High @ Coppell in the afternoon to recieve a respective tour there. Coppell High School Red Jackets and Ready, Set, Teach! students are in charge of showing the eighth graders around the school.
The areas being shown are the library, the commons, the auditorium and other common spots in the school that students often encounter. The purpose of these tours is to help ease the tension that some middle schoolers may feel about leaving their school to come to the high school, as well as get them more acquainted with their choice between attending Coppell High School or New Tech High @ Coppell.
