Marco’s Pizza brings “ah!thentic” Italian flavor to Coppell

Sloane Samberson, Managing Editor

Pizza is a universally loved food, and for a good reason. Its carb-y, cheesy goodness is irresistible, especially when delivered directly to your house. So whether you like your pizza plain or piled with Italian meats and vegetables, Marco’s Pizza has got you covered.

Located off of Sandy Lake Road, Marco’s Pizza officially opened on Jan. 27. The chain was created by Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco in 1978, the first establishment opening in Toledo, Ohio. Giammarco moved to the United States from Italy as a child where he grew up working in his family’s pizzeria.

Pizza dough is made fresh daily, and its premium cheese blend is never frozen – but what Marco’s is really famous for is its secret sauce recipe, which is made with three types of vine ripened tomatoes and a blend of imported spices.

Marco’s offers the basics of cheese and pepperoni pizza, as well as 12 speciality pizzas which include some very unique options such as the Chicken Florentine pizza, a spin-off on the classic Italian dish, and the Bacon Double Cheeseburger pizza. There is also the option to get a crust topper to enhance the flavor of your pizza. These pizza toppers include garlic butter, roma seasoning and parmesan cheese.

Aside from pizza, Marco’s offers sub sandwiches, such as the Turkey & Ham Maximo and Meatball Fabio, wings, various side orders and desserts, and salads.

One perk that Marco’s has is its Loyalty Reward program which for every $1 you spend, you earn one point. Once you reach 100 points you get $10 off of your next order. So if you find yourself ordering pizza for dinner quite frequently, then this is a great program for you to utilize.
