On Monday, Coppell High School will begin a fundraiser called “Teens for Jeans” that will continue until February 12.
The fundraiser is through a charity run by Aeropostale, a teen clothing store that collects old pairs of jeans each year and donates them to a local shelter. This year, Aeropostale will be donating all jeans from the fundraiser to the people of Haiti. The store will also be matching the total number of jeans Coppell High School collects.
Sabrina Khan, ’09 CHS graduate and Aeropostale employee, is the promoter for the fundraiser at the high school.
“It’s actually cool because for every pair of jeans you donate, it’s like you’re sending two because the store will send one new pair of jeans from the store to Haiti as well,” Khan said.
Last year CHS collected 300 pairs of jeans. This year the goal is 500.
Boxes will be located at the horseshoe and in Mrs. Redding’s room, A102.
