For a whiff of fresh air and a little exercise, residents can join Living Well in Coppell for their Coppell Wellness Expo. The event is organized by Living Well in Coppell, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization which encourages healthy lifestyles.
The event will take place Nov. 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Square in Old Town Coppell next to the Farmers’ Market pavilion.
At the event, there will be opportunities to try out wellness activities such as massages, health screenings and workout trials or even visit the Farmer’s Market or take a stroll through the new Coppell trails.
“The purpose is to educate, inform, and engage people in wellness in the community,” Ed Guion, a co-chair of Living Well in Coppell, said.
The slogan and goal of Living Well is to make Coppell, “A Healthy Community for a Lifetime”. The organization strives to spread awareness by education, advocacy, and programs according to its website.

Featured local wellness centers will be showcasing their programs through free fitness activities such as yoga, taekwondo, barre and crossfit. Activities will take place every 30 minutes and are open to all ages.

“The goal of the event is to try to engage new people in the community in a wellness lifestyle,” Guion said.
The event will showcase new renovations in the Coppell Parks and Recreation trail system, which is now open and is approximately seven miles long.
To learn how to save a life, citizens can visit vendors from various health and wellness programs where they will be giving CPR demonstrations.
In preparation for the winter season, local clinics and hospitals will also be offering flu shots.
The event is designed to engage families across the community and includes a lot of information on how to live a more health and active lifestyles.
