Homecoming festivities will begin with the annual Coppell Homecoming parade this Wednesday. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the West end of Parkway and end at Coppell High School.
This year’s parade theme is “Enchantment Under the Sea.” Residents may bring chairs and blankets or sit on the sidewalks and grass lining Parkway. Make time for parking and then walking to the destination because it does get crowded.
Appearances from the CHS band, football team, drama department and many others are expected. Various organizations throughout Coppell will also have floats in the parade.
The parade kickstarts community pride as CHS participates in homecoming week.
Reminder: Floats are not allowed to throw candy but if they do, watch for children who might run into the streets to catch. Safety is a top priority for the parade.
