It looks like the season three finale of “American Horror Story: Coven” gives the term “seven wonders” a whole new meaning.

Unlike the rest of the season that was loosely pieced together, the final episode “The Seven Wonders” really does leave fans satisfied with the season.

“Coven” follows the lives of four young witches Zoe, Nan, Queenie and Madison along with their mentor Cordelia Foxx, and her mother who is the reigning supreme of all witches still in existence, Fiona Goode. The main focus of “Coven” is to find out who the new successor supreme is to Fiona, with plenty of twists and turns along the way of course.

The finale deals with the girls performing a ritual known as the Seven Wonders, which, in the episode, are seven different tests involving the use of their powers. They must pass all of these tests in order to be recognized as the new supreme.

One of the reasons the final episode is so fulfilling was because the viewers find out the fate of all of the characters they love to hate, which luckily failed to leave any unanswered questions afterwards.

All that can be said is that everyone got what they had coming.

One of the unique things about the AHS series is that creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck keep bringing back the same cast, including Lily Rabe, Taissa Farmiga, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters and Jessica Lange. The actors all come back playing completely different roles in completely different settings than the previous season.

Lange is phenomenal. She took the role of Fiona Goode and ran with it. She went full out on this role. Out of the three seasons of AHS, Fiona has certainly been the most devious and twisted, willing to do anything to be young or kill anyone she may feel threatened by.

Along with the original cast, there are new members who joined this season too. Emma Roberts plays the role of actress turned witch Madison Montgomery. Her character is so deliberately evil it is almost fun to watch what she had planned next throughout the season.

It is yet another good conclusion to another great season of AHS. The creators always have something new up their sleeves, which will be interesting to see next year when the fourth season, with a circus oriented theme, announced on Nov. 6 will bring.
