While many CHS clubs have utilized the delicious smells of double fudge brownies and warm snickerdoodle cookies in terms of fundraising, the Model United Nations club is taking a rather salty, twisted approach.

This year’s MUN has added a distinct addition to the laundry list of snacks sold within the main hallway, as soft,salted pretzels from the Mr. Pretzels in the Vista Ridge Mall are sold fresh and ready to order.

These warm and delicious snacks are not only a great way to get your afterschool food “fix”, but are an excellent way to support MUN.

So why the need to buy delicious pretzels and support MUN in the first place? The Model United Nations club needs more funds to participate in the Central Texas Model United Nations Contest held at the University of Texas in Austin. By attending the contest, MUN can sharpen their skills, gauge their progression, and see which areas hold room for improvement.

So rummage through your backpacks, purses and pockets for loose change and buy a soft pretzel afterschool this week. Not only will you be supporting your fellow students during a time of need, but you’ll be able to enjoy a soft pretzel straight from the Vista Ridge Mall. Buying a Mr. Pretzels pretzel is truly an act which both parties can enjoy.
