High school students are not usually involved with the stock market, but for a handful of them, they have direct involvement. In the news recently, the Dow Jones has closed above 15,000 at $15,056.20. This is a good sign for investors, including the ones at CHS.
Russell Smith, senior, has investments and thinks that it is a good precursor to how the economy will do in the imminent future.
“My parents gave me some money to invest so I can play around with the market and find out how it works,” Smith said.
Although it is not on all high school student radars, it sure is for a few, and for those few, the Dow’s high closing is definitely welcoming.
