The Coppell Police Department (CPD) has opened registration for a unique summer oppertunity benefitting those interested in any type of law enforcement related career.
Any high school age student between the ages of 15-20 can apply to be in this program to learn more about careers such as: DEA, FBI, ATF, CIA, US Marshals, Secret Service, State Police and local law enforcement. The program also offers training for military interests such as Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force. Participants in this Police Explorer Recruit Academy will be trained in the latest tactics of law enforcement for the various occupations offered.
This Academy lasts two weeks in the summer from June 17-28. A $100 fee includes an Academy T-shirt, shorts, materials for courses and a graduation dinner. There are limited applications, and the deadline to submit an application is May 31. For more information the Coppell Explorers website.
