Independent readers in grades 1 through 5 are wanted for a reading, they will read aloud to an audience of willing listeners that will not interrupt or correct them. This group of listeners will only bark with excitement.
On May 18the William T. Cozby Library is hosting their Read to Rover event, where students can read to specially trained dogs. This event will help strengthen literary skills in the young readers, by having an audience of dogs they will feel more comfortable and will not be bothered with talking or corrections.
The event is first come first served, the doors open at 11 a.m. and tickets are required, but the event is free. Tickets are available for pick up starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Information Desk in the library.
