Since September, the 2012 – 2013 members of Teen Leadership Coppell have been preparing for its spring fundraiser to benefit a non profit organization. This year, TLC decided to fundraise for Taylor’s Gift by a fish event that was held today at Andy Brown Park East.
The event was from 11 a.m – 2:00 p.m and many people from all around the community came to support the cause. 50 people participated in the fishing competition where junior, Austin Anderson won with the heaviest fish of 19 pounds and 11 ounces.
Dickey’s Barbecue catered at the event in which part of the money made will go to Taylor’s Gift. The amount of money raised has not been calculated yet, but the event was definitely a huge success.
