By Alex Irizarry Staff Writer The Coppell Farmers Market will open for its 2013 season this Saturday, April 6th. This year is the 11th for the market that has “become one of the best community markets in the DFW area”.
The opening day will begin the season of weekly Saturday markets featuring over 30 vendors. The CFM will open at it’s usual 8 o’clock and close at noon throughout the season. Customers can expect produce such as lettuce, spinach, kale, collards, onions, radishes, beets, new potatoes and herbs during the month of April.
Accompanying the usual vendors, will be some new organic farmers, and a brand new logo featuring the market’s favorite produce, a tomato. The Coppell Farmer’s Market is currently located at 793 S. Coppell Road, but will eventually move into the new areas of Old Coppell when development on it has been completed.
