Every two years, juniors and seniors at Coppell High School watch “Shattered Dreams” which is an educational experience for high school students about the dangers of drinking and driving.
The “Shattered Dreams” program will once again be coming to Coppell High School on March 28. The program simulates an alcohol-related accident, which is paired with police and EMS response, hospital treatment, notification of loved ones, and the booking of the drunk driver. Students will also be pulled out of class periodically throughout the day and will return with a white face and black T-shirt to make it appear that they are “dead”. By the end of the day, there will be at least one “dead” classmate in every class.
