The William T. Cozby Library introduced a teen program last year called Between the Lines, a yearly event for teenagers to read the same book as other teens and conduct various activities relating to the book. This year the book chosen was Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
Teens had the opportunity to enter into a peculiar photo contest, where they take their own peculiar photos and submit them to the library. The photos were then posted onto the William T. Cozby Public Library-Teens Facebook group for the public to like. The photo with the most “likes” was announced the winner and the photos that tied were the honorable mentions.
New Tech@ Coppell sophomore Alexandria Martinez won the event with her photo of an exploding shoe. Her prize was a signed poster, a five dollar Sonic card and her own photo album with different prints and scrap booking material for her photos.
“It is a cool new way to meet other teens in the community.” William T. Cozby librarian Lilia Gant said.
