Kicking off the school year while counting down the quickly-approaching homecoming week, the first Student Council meeting of the year proved to be a successful rally of the Coppell Cowboys and their spirit.
Held in the lecture hall, the club meeting welcomed 87 attendees to meet this year’s officers, recieve a general club overview and vote on the club’s shirt design for the year. Students also learned about service opportunities Student Council provides like Relay for Life and the turkey drive, as well as opportunities to help prepare for the Homecoming Dance.
Finishing up the meeting by planning to wrap the senior bridge, a group of participants made a sign explaining the Homecoming dress-up days and hung it on the senior bridge for students to see.
With a promise to get more students involved with the club, Stu-Co hopes to have yet another successful year.
