Though the spring season is still a few months away, it is never too early to begin prepping your garden. In order to better inform the community on ways to have the best garden possible, the Coppell Community Garden will be hosting Soil Love, a class perfect for all levels of gardeners.
Soil Love will discuss a variety of topics during the class. Information on the best type of soil, instructions on how to organically develop soil and recommendations for the best time to upgrade your soil will be explained. Following Soil Love, there will be a composting class offered immediately after.
Soil Love will be lead by Sabino Cortez, who is the President and CEO of Erath Earth Inc. Cortez is a nationally respected organic agriculture specialist and a soil expert. In addition to speaking to at local levels, Cortez travels across the world to countries such as New Zealand to consult with farmers and ranchers on organic agricultural production.
The class will be held this Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Fire Training Room in Coppell located at 133 Parkway Blvd.
