Nature love stories shared by students

By Nikki Dabney

Staff Writer

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the world’s oldest and largest global environmental organization. They are starting a campaign called “Love. Not Loss.” with the belief that the best way to rekindle a lost love is not to talk about what went wrong — extinction, habitat loss or resource scarcity- but to remember what was loved in the first place.

AP Environmental Science (APES) students are participating in this campaign. They will be creating PSAs to promote love of endangered species. The rest of CHS students can participate as well.

Students can download the IUCN book How to Tell a Love Story, share videos, share their love story with nature on Twitter with hashtag #lovenotloss, and just love and appreciate nature wherever they are.
