The Sidekick would like to express its condolences for the Attaway family at this time. DeLana Attaway, a former seventh grade English teacher from Coppell Middle School North, passed away last night after a nearly year long battle with stage four Glioblastoma brain cancer.
Attaway touched the lives of many students during her 21 years of teaching and countless more throughout her life. She will be remembered for her constantly positive attitude, bright smile and loving spirit. Personally, I will remember her as the person who first sparked my interest in writing.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Attaway’s family, friends and former students during this difficult time.
