As students flood through the halls, neon orange shirts stand out from the rest of the school, brightly displaying support for ultimate frisbee. The high school’s ultimate frisbee team, like many other teams this year, decided to adopt the trend of “fanatics.” Each team member gets to pick a few fanatics from their friends who will have the honor of wearing a shirt with the team member’s last name and number on the back to show their support.
Many other teams have joined the trend this year, modeled after popular groups such as the varsity lacrosse team’s “lax lovers,” varsity football’s “football flirts,” and even varsity soccer’s “sideline pychos.” This year, the silver spurs joined the trend with “silver spur sweets hearts” and now the ultimate frisbee team has come out with “frisbee fanatics.”
For the frisbee fans who still want to support the team, you can see them play today at 4:30 at Andy Brown West against Flower Mound. So come support the team and be an unofficial “frisbee fanatic.”
