For those who don’t regularly run, running in a 5k may not seem fun or even possible. However, with the Electric Run coming to Dallas soon, there will now be a fun way to exercise.
The Electric Run, which will occur on Jan. 19, is no ordinary race. Trees, buildings and fountains will be lit up in florescent lights across Fair Park. An estimated one million watts of light and sound will be used during the race. Runners will also be dressed in glow in the dark clothes and glow sticks, and they have the choice to run or walk.
Many students at Coppell have already registered for the race with groups of friends.
The cost for individual participants is $50, and will continue to increase till $70 the day of the event. If you register in a group of four or more, the price is a lower cost.
A charity which will receive proceeds from the race will be announced at a later time.
