This Friday, CHS will host its annual Turkey Drive in the parent loop and student parking lot until 8:30 a.m. The student council is hosting the event, and they have planned several incentives to encourage students to reach the final goal of 600 turkeys.
If students collect 150 turkeys, there will be a school-wide dress up day during the second semester. For 300 turkeys, there will be a “No Homework Day” as well as a hat day. For 450 turkeys, students will get a pajama pants/slipper day. And finally, if the ultimate goal of 600 is reached, Coach Ziaer (Coach Z) will dress up in a turkey suit to greet students in the parking lot and there will be a raffle for which every student who donated a turkey is eligible.
There are also prizes for clubs, 4th period class, and grade levels who collect the most turkeys.
Don’t forget to donate!
