The time has come for Coppell to once again select their annual Hometown Hero, a tradition established three years ago by the Public Services Academy (PSA) of Coppell High School. This time around, there has been a change in the way the process works.
In the past, the students of PSA have provided the town with four candidates from which they chose the winner. In 2012, Taylor’s Girft founder Todd Storch was selected as Hometown Hero, and Coppell Middle School East principal Laura Springer in 2011.
For the 2012 Hometown Hero contest, PSA is asking for the input of Coppell citizens for who they think should be on the ballot. They are asking for nominees who have made a positive impact in the lives of those in Coppell and beyond. PSA has provided a link to submit nominations online. Nominees will be announced Nov. 7, and the actual voting process will begin soon after.
