Thirteen years in the making, a student’s senior year of high school is a time to live out traditions of all kinds to their fullest extent. The Class of 2013’s senior year has kicked off tremendously with this year’s winning sports teams, memorable Homecoming dance and participation in traditions such as senior overalls and pained parking spots.
Even though we are only seven weeks into the school year, it is already time for senior to begin partaking in preparation for their big day walking across the stage this May. Representatives from Jostens will be in the main hallway Wednesday Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday Oct. 11 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. to take orders for caps, gowns, graduation announcements and class rings. In order for students to place their orders for these items, they will need to bring an initial deposit of $80.
It is also the time of year for seniors to pre-order their class shirts. Students who wish to be in the senior class portrait will need to purchase a shirt before the picture on Nov. 7. There are both short sleeve ($15) and long sleeve ($20) options as well as a bundle of both offered for $30 available at the senior class table in the commons during all lunches.
