The TOMS club is currently accepting shoe donations in all English classes. The shoes must be brand new, but can be any type or brand of shoe.
You can turn the shoes into any English teacher.
As an incentive to collect more shoes, there will be a competition between the English classes to see which class can collect the most shoes. At the end of the shoe drive, the class the English class that has collected the most new shoes will win a pizza party.
The shoes will be donated to a local organization called Shoes for Orphan Souls.
“We chose a local organization so that the members can drop off the shoes and potentially volunteer there,” TOMS club president junior Sarah Hillier said. “The members can see how the package the shoes and what they do to send them off.”
The shoe drive will take place from Nov. 2 until Dec. 11.
