For the past three days, the Coppell Volleyball team has been competing in the Nike Pearland Volleyball Tournament. At this particular tournament, a jersey designing contest is being held that has a special meaning to many of the players on the team.
The varsity volleyball team entered a jersey design in remembrance of Taylor Storch. An avid volleyball player at the age of 13, Storch played for school and club teams when a skiing accident took her life. Storch’s parents donated five of her organs to save the lives of five strangers. Storch was a friend to many of the current varsity volleyball players.
New Nike jerseys will be given to the team who has the best design representation and story behind the design. Coppell’s design includes our school colors, and the Taylor’s Gift Design will be added to the jersey if Coppell wins this contest. To help Coppell win, community members, teachers and students are encouraged to vote for the photo on Facebook.
