With similarities to the human anatomy, CHS Anatomy students classes dissected fetal pigs today to get an hands-on learning experience of the pig’s structure such as the location of the muscles or it’s multi-lobed lungs. The fetal pigs were bought for the purpose of learning but would of otherwise been thrown out as they are the “by-product” of the meat packing industry. Tomorrow, students will work on the second phase of the dissection lab by removing the organs.
