Beginning tomorrow, children, students and adults from the community will participate in the 10th anniversary of Relay for Life. With the goal of raising money to help find a cure for cancer, community members are eager to make a difference.
Relay for Life will occur from Sat. to Sun. at Wagon Wheel Park in Coppell; the night long event will include fun activities including live music, food and games. To begin the event, survivors of cancer are the first to walk around the track as community members cheer them on for their battle against cancer. Later in the night, there will be a Luminaria Ceremony to honor those who have lost their lives to cancer. Participants will then walk a lap around the track in silence.
Though most groups have already been formed, there is still the option to register online at www.relayforlifecoppell.com. This year’s Relay for Life is sure to make another impact in the fight against cancer.
