On Saturday, April 21st, there will be a volunteer opportunity for anyone who is interested in restoring the Blackland Prairie at the Coppell Nature Park. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at noon; all are encouraged to come out and help shape up this once beautiful piece of land.
The Blackland Prairie is now unfortunately completely endangered and it is up to this project to restore its prosperity. Partnered with Coppell nursery, GROW IT, and a group of seniors from the Environmental Science program at Coppell High School, the Blackland Prairie deserves a lot of attention and aid in order to preserve it as one of the few remaining areas in the state of Texas.
Be sure to come out to help this historical site prosper into the monumental piece of land it once was. Sign up on the Facebook event for more details.
